Birthwise: Your Creation, Your Choice, is an educational DVD that will take you through a full set of antenatal classes to help you prepare for labour, birth and life with a new baby.

This DVD is for pregnant women and their partners, family and anyone you want to be involved in the birth of your baby.   During the DVD, leading midwife Caroline Flint will teach antenatal classes to 6 families.  You will see these families as they grapple with questions, share their concerns and hopes and prepare for the life change of having a baby.  You will also get to learn about breastfeeding, hear their birthstories and meet their babies during a follow up class after the babies have been born.  Carolines manner is down to earth, passionate and engaging.  Her advice on what to do immidiately after birth, spend 10 days in bed, is so important, the impact of which cannot be underestimated.

Birthwise will introduce you to experts in the field of birth including Sheila Kitzinger, Dr. Yehudi Gordon, Colleen Wedderburn-Tate.  It will provide you with information about complementary therapies that can be helpful in pregnancy including osteopathy, nutrition, acupuncture, birth hypnosis and the use of doulas. We recommend that you watch this DVD as if you were part of the class; answer those questions for yourself.  As you watch the relaxation techniques,  practice along with the class.
